    Thanks tw586, very clear. Pete

Which supports what you said re restricted ecu. Your comments re 0 deg and 75 deg apply to unrestricted I take it? Thanks a million for that. Do you have a workshop manual? Does anyone out there in the interweb have access to data on TPS etc for unrestricted or restricted bikes? Pete

Still no full parts listing for Aussie 07 at local Yamaha dealer grr! Tw586, I still haven't found any evidence or reports of derestriction issues for the FZ6R. Were these anecdotal or documented somewhere? I know that the mod in question is very common so expected to find lots of problems...

Tw586, can you tell me whether the tps voltage you measured was above specifications after you opened throttle past the restricted stop point ie was the restricted stop point a lower voltage than wide open throttle WOT of an unrestricted mt07? Thanks Pete

    Was the voltage above programmed?

What sort of price were they quoting for reflash?

So to recap, throttle quadrant (pulley) is different to prevent wide open throttle. Did the output voltage of the TPS differ from a stock full power bike at WOT? How did you come to the conclusion that the ECU was "programmed" to 50hp and what is your ECU part number?

I think you mean tw586 for his TPS/CAN bus approach. Hey tw586, first I have heard about the FZ stuff, do you have a link to that info? On another note bike shop doesn't have parts listing for Aussie market yet, hopes to have it by next week. Anyone out there have a UK EU market part list I...

Excellent. I have found US market part numbers for throttle and ecu components. Hope to get Aussie numbers Thursday. Pete

Speculation and economics would suggest Yamaha will have done as little as possible to maintain their cost structure. This logically will mean they have reduced bore size to meet the Australian and New Zealand LAMS capacity limit and then use already developed mechanical restrictions from other...

No mate. I'll try and track down a part listing.

Hi Chillipom, reading this with interest as test rode the Aussie MT and found it lacking. Have you compared part numbers on the ecu etc just to see if Yamaha hasn't neutered the electronics as well? Might be time I paid Yamaha World down here in Adelaide a call for some part details. Pete
