The Angel GTs have shorter life than PR4s which could last for 10K miles..
PR4s are still "the safer rain-tyre" and not so expensive.
Now i'm on my 3rd pair of them... only con their short limit when cornering.
Metzeler Roadtec 01s have good comments..
that would be my choice if money weren't...
About your last question, tick-tick-tick after starting for some seconds is hearing until the "dry" cam chain get lubed...
My bike doing that after 3rd gen cam chain tesnsioner installation.. (that with the kit of 5 parts).
Mechanic said "no problem" as it dissapears after engine's warm-up..
Well, the facts you wrote mede think about CO settings... most of the bikes/riders used to keep CO at -0- on the 3 cylinders. The limit from -128 until +128 is for adjusting the mixture in a friendly manner to environment.
So, the best way to adjust the CO is by gas-analize.
My mechanic has...
I'm happy with my old fashioned H4 bulp and the 2 side leds...
Good luck in your effort... Yamaha has to consider about safer night riding.
Take care and be very careful in roads without public lights.
Off course not a coincidence and remember the more vibrations you get, the more unballanced and unsynchronized are the injection boddies.
Manual note in maintenace section that injection bodies need synchronization at first 1000 km and every 10.000 km. So it must been done every 6000 mi/10000 km...
My mechanic said that he had experienced the same problem at a t-max with new tyres and was caused from the front tyre which was crooked. So, you have to check if your front tyre is crooked for some reason..
Another cause could be from wrong rear wheel alignment after correcting chain slack.
So, the bike is OK !
a fast check of rear wheel alignment is first priority.
My bike is a solid rock at 225km since i stop trust the rear swing-arm lines.
Here something is crooked... transmision sprockets or brake pads/disks or wheel bearings, as the symptom appears when closing throttle.
very strange phenomenon at low speed when closing throtle... obviously rider's life is in danger... wheels/chain/brake disks must be checked..
i 've never seen anything similar.. but this bike isn' t straight:confused:
Exactly as Steve wrote!
MT-09 is best for solo riding and 20kg lighter mostly at front... its a funbike.
Tracer is ideal if you often carry a pilion and its like a sporty v-strom..
PS. Aden's f800gs is one of my favourite bikes..
Check the chain adjusters to have the same distance both sides.. its critical and maybe the sollution you are looking for.. don't trust the std lines at the swingarm because there is a minimum difference betweeen them in many of our bikes.
hi Olyson
3 years ago i've fitted a zx10r '09 rear shock with the gas-bottle facing downwards. It fits like glove and lets a few mm space from the kick starter, so there aren't any "overheat" matter.
Best way and simplest to fit it is to loosening the conectting bolt between swing arm and...
I realize that all the MT-07 i 've ridden suffer from a "rpm vibration range" in middle rpm..
Allthough my MT-09 is silky when it is serviced properly..
Now is smoother than ever at 42.000km and after the 40.000km "big" service.
If your weight is about 70kg then try the front at no preload at all.. i spent more than a year's road use just to understand and feel the difference between 7 rings showing and the rest half turn out...
So try it as softer as it could be, but pay attention at rebound. There are lots of u-tube...
Having the same weight as you, i 've found the Ohlins front springs "too much" for me...
Standard MT-09 front springs are rated for 75kg/cm, when Ohlins are rated at 90kg/cm.
The result is no preload at all, just to have a proper sag.
My bike is turning to the limit thanks to ZX10R rear shock...
