    Further riding Qualifications

Might work then. Seems I can just rock up at one to see how it is, might do that next time they have a meetup. Good luck with yours!

    Further riding Qualifications

Twickenham. I think the nearest to me is Sutton, I looked at it before. It says it takes something like 6 months to do, is that every weekend, or once per month? I could do once per month, just couldn't do every weekend.

    Not long now

I'm looking forward to doing the entire commute in the light. When the clocks go forward, I'll be able to go home through Richmond park, which closes at dusk. It's always a nice little unwinder at the end of the day.

    Further riding Qualifications

I keep thinking about doing the IAM test. My Dad was a police biker, and accident reconstructor. Although he died just before I was old enough to ride a bike on the road (legally, anyway), he used to have some fairly strong opinions on traffic safety, which my older brother and his mates who...

Brand New Bike - Numpty Question!

Mine hasn't got that. I've had mine in bits several times, never seen it.

Brand New Bike - Numpty Question!

Mine has never had it, sounds like packing to me. Can you post a photo?

    MT 07 Silverstone meet

Actually, it is important. This is someone trying to sell, and when they represent themselves as being something, it's not unreasonable to want to make sure they are who they say they are. This is the internet, anyone can say anything. That last post he made just sounds petulant. Strelk112...

    Auxiliary DC Connector

I believe they've changed the system, was probably you that gave us the run through of it - the older ones would knack the battery if left on, but now they are a bit smarter and can tell when the bike isn't running. The ones I use are the lite (scooter?) ones, as the full version has an...

    Auxiliary DC Connector

FWIW, I didn't use it at all when I plumbed my heated grips in. I put the - straight onto the negative battery terminal, then spliced the positive into the + wire to the back light, logic being it switches off when I switch the bike off. The grips have their own inline fuse anyway. Probably...

    MT 07 Silverstone meet

Nobody is picking on the name, which seems to be the MT07 owners club. Nothing at all wrong with that. The question is about whether it is official. That would suggest it's somehow affiliated with or connected to Yamaha. I can only see one butthurt post in this thread. You should maybe hang...

Recommendation - Riding Protective Pants / Jeans / Trousers

Well, that's my plan for a doner kebab tonight ruined.

Recommendation - Riding Protective Pants / Jeans / Trousers

He's obviously bright. He noticed people wear jackets helmets and gloves. Can't say I've ever noticed that, I would have said most bikers wear sombreros and a tutu.

Recommendation - Riding Protective Pants / Jeans / Trousers

Well, of course he would be banned from the MT09 group, his username is 'guywithMT07'. He clearly doesn't belong over there. Wonder which colour his MT07 is?

Post a picture of your MT-07

£230? My guess is it's made from Unicorn hide.

A bit of quality time with my MT-07

It is a very good commuter, although the saddle takes some getting used to.

    Moving instruments forward maintaining windscreen

The best bits about American chopper; 1. The office door being destroyed once per week. 2. The 300 sized rear tyres on the bikes.

    Moving instruments forward maintaining windscreen

I'm sure the theory's good, but doesn't a thinner tyre equal less grip? Having said that, no disrespect at all for other peoples preferences, but I quite like fat tyres from a visual point of view. Putting a skinny one on the MT07 would look weird to me even if it improves handling.

Anyone else with this clutch problem..

For what it's worth, I solved mine by dismantling the whole clutch and soaking the clutch plates in oil. I honestly can't see why they would have been dry, but it was bouncing around like a dyslexic Kangaroo from a cold start before I did it, and afterwards it was completely cured. Edit -...
