    New Old Rider

Hi and welcome. Fitted an R&G radiator gaurd (as well as the Yamaha radiator covers) and a front fender extender as soon as I got it. I've now done over 14000 miles and both the rad guard and fender extender have done their job

Best sport touring tyre for MT09

Trevor, it started at 100mph, bike was unrideable at anything over that speed. Took it back to tyre supplier, main dealer and spoke to Bridgestone technicians. Bridgestone said its not recommended for the MT, so they accepted no responsibility. The tyres did last 6000 miles, and were fine if you...

Clunk when pulling away with haste???

Not heard of this, is your chain correctly adjusted and lubed? I'd also check rear wheel spindle tightened correctly, its not unknown for mechanics to forget to tighten them either at PDi or when changing tyres

    Chain life question

1st question is did you remember to tighten the axel nut after adjusting the chain? My MT09 has done 14000 miles (22500km) and has plenty of life left, and here we ride in wet, shitty roads which wear the chain quicker. You may have a tight spot in your chain, ie its tight at a certain point...

Best sport touring tyre for MT09

Thats weird, there must be a glitch on the Michelin website. If you type in the standard MT, you get the message MICHELIN provides tyres for more than 3000 motorcycles ... but unfortunately not this one. If you type in the ABS model, there are lots to choose from

Best sport touring tyre for MT09

Evening, will need to replace the tyres soon. Currently running the S20's, I did try Bridgestone BT023's the other year, and they caused a massive speed wobble. I spoke to the Bridgestone technicians about it at the time, and their response was as they dont recommend it for the MT09, they took...

    Lost my confidence

Think we all feel like that occasionally. Some days if dont feel 100% with it, so end up taking the scooter to work. Normally lasts an hour or so, but try not to ride anything fast if it doesnt feel right
