Changing the CO settings in the DIAG menu

How did you arrive at 14 as the setting?

A couple of ways really...

#1. My Dyno technician dyno'd it and that was where it was at best.
#2. Our head mechanic of some 40 odd years of tuning bikes agreed with the readouts...

That's good enough for me...

So i have just found this CO/DIAG Menu on my bike.
A couple questions, is it best to leave the CO at 0 for stock pipe? I have ECU ECUnleashed flashed.

When i went into the DIAG Menu, i believe i accidentally altered some settings, are the defaults listed anywhere? Or am i able to reset the settings to default?

Thanks.

Finally got round to checking mine the other day, they were on 5, 2 & 5 -WTF?!?! Changed them all to 14 (Akra with a modified DB killer) & adjusted the throttle free play. Much smoother & the throttle is a lot less snatchy.

What is the best values in CO for stock exhaust? I changed to 14 but i didn't liked it. It could be my imaginatipn but i felt a slight power loss... Reverted the operation, and it is 0 again...

I think 14 is the normal advice.
I dont think its power loss your feeling rather a smooter throttle with no jerkiness so it seems like less power. Triple Trouble you dynod it didnt you?

Yes mate we've dyno'd quite a few MT's now and they all run much smoother with no jerkiness with the CO set to 14 on all 3 cylinders.

MT-09 Wheelie Wheelie mental.....!

But schultzy, with stock exhaust?? Or you dyno'ed with akrapovic exhaust?

Yeah stock exhaust. If you feel 14 is too much try lowering it - ive heard 10 is also good.

I can't tell people enough to try this if you find the bike jerky. It absolutely transforms the bike and makes roundabouts at slow speeds much more relaxed and less changes of underwear!

The temperature of the engine is increased by 10 degrees on my mt-09 after setting the CO in diag menu from 0 to 10 is that normal?

Just to confirm, you have set all three cylinders haven't you?
Mines also at 10 and runs marginally cooler...
