well it arrived and wore it today on my 100 mile tour of dorset , well its the best helmet ive ever had by a country mile, the fit is superb on my head so that's brilliant, the wind noise is really low , the shell is small so you don't look like big ed , the aperture is excellent so field of view is very good indeed, but the bit I loved the most was the aerodynamics , its very stable and when you look left and right its very good , its very good at quite high speeds, and its very light, a brilliant helmet for a naked bike.

Awesome. Sounds like uv got a good helmet there. I pick my new lid up later. I almost went for the same helmet as u but at the last minute I decided to get another GT-Air. But this time I got a gloss finish instead of the (scratch, mark and ruin if u even so much as look at it) matt finish lol.

Both the NXR's and GT-Air's look like awesome helmets. I think when I've got some spare cash again I'll get myself a Shoei. I've got an AGV (Guy Martin replica) just now, and despite loving the look of the helmet I've never felt that it's the comfiest. Plus I just love getting new lids :D
 
I bought a Shark Explore-R last weekend. Been using it all week with the goggles. Helmet is great, although there are some serious blind spots with the goggles. It was that or the AVG AX8 Evo, might shove the shark on Ebay and see what happens, if it sells i'll get the AVG.

Anyone want a spanking new Shark Explore-R ? :)

Yeah its a large! Just don't feel comfortable with the goggles on. Since putting the SR seat on, the bar end mirrors are not quite as simple to glance i n(have to look down). So with the addition of a goggle trim, it makes life a little more difficult still, and although i want to look 'cool' i would rather have a full field of view in London!!

Lol. I know it's a large. Not an XL like u thought u were lol ;) Y don't u use the pin lock visor instead of the goggles???

I swear its the first Large helmet I've fit in lol! The visor doesn't work with the peak! so its goggles and peak, or visor on its own. I knew that before, but thought the goggles would be fine day to day. It might just be because i need to get used to it. Will persist on and wear it!

My matte black Roof ended up gloss after 4 years, lol. The matte finish does scratch easily. Shame it looks so good!
 
I will NEVER get another Matt helmet again. I ended up getting another Shoei GT-Air yesterday but in gloss this time. Uv only got to look at a Matt helmet and it marks. A nightmare to clean and keep clean as well.

slightly off topic, what product/s did you use to clean/ protect the finish?

Good collection you've got there! Between on and off road I have far too many helmets. Most of which now just sit in their boxes taking up space in various cupboards. Drives the Mrs bloody mental! She's not got a leg to stand on though. Every time she has a go I just remind her of all the ridiculous handbags and shoes that she has. Winning :D

Oh god yeah. Every time I open a cupboard or wardrobe door I'm attacked by ANOTHER new pair of shoes, boots, sandals lol. The wife says the usual.... I've had those ages...!
I thought it was only us blokes that had that one liner lol.
