G2 Throttle Tamer Info & Review

Glad its working out for everyone! Regarding getting the grips on and off, as per the original post just get some water down there and it slides off very quickly, then add water again to reinstall it, water dries pretty quickly leaving the grip stuck again.
Try using an air compressor with an air gun. It should take about a minute to get the grip off and back on.

I'm guessing not many people have an air compressor handy.
I tried doing it with a basketball/soccer ball pump (that little needle thing), but ended up reverting to the water system, using a screwdriver to loosen it as I go.
It was a piece of cake, took Leeds than 5 minutes.
It feels pretty loose now on the g2... I hope it dries up and sticks tight in the morning, and not to find out that I accidentally stretched it too much during removal.

It should dry pretty quick, unless you really wrenched on it it shouldn't have stretched.

We'll I rode to work with it this morning, and so far it feels great.

It doesn't totally eliminate the jerkiness (i.e. if you try hard you can make it jerk a little), but it's so subtle that it's virtualy unnoticable. I was riding around in A and STD modes, this morning and it felt very nice. I was concerned that it would tame the throttle too much, and make the bike into a B-mode only bike, but that's not the case. The bike still feels quite zesty, and I easily popped a wheelie in A mode (with my surprised colleague on the back seat ;-)).

I will drive around with it a few more days before forming my final opinion, because as I've mentioned in another thread I've hardly had much snatch lately (what do you expect, I've been married for 14 years :p).

Now I've officially formed my opinion.
I like it!!! :D

I agree with all the posters above, this is a great mod. It's reasonably priced, and has a bit effect on the riding experience. I'd recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to go down the whole ECU flashing, or Fuel re-mapping route.

Thanks Rip.
(come on Rip, no one's listening. How much are G2 Ergo really paying you for all the advertisement you're doing for them? :p)

Haha, I wish mate! Just genuinely glad it's producing good results. I've found the more I ride with it the more I'm forgetting about throttle control which obviously means its done its job.

Was gonna ask the same question as I have them as well. Think I'm gonna get the throttle off an get busy with the dremmel in the workshop this afternoon lol
Before you do that let me PM you something that will help, It'll be in the next 30mins.

The more ya ride , the better it gets , A mode all the time for me , I've got another tube to try another profile while I await the g2 n flash n map , this mod is brilliant , simply as that

I always ride in A mode since it's had a power commander and don't really notice the snatch unless I get too throttle happy but generally it's not much of a problem. I guess reading these posts puts things in ur head that aren't really there half the time. Who knows lol

Just placed an order via Rutmonkey total inc shipping £51.70 remains to be seen if I get stuffed with import duty.

Seems pretty random, didn't get taxed on my G2 but did on my EJK.

Mine arrived this morning ;-)

Bought direct from G2, they put a $15 value on the shipping docs, which meant no import duty - happy days.

Before I fit this, does anyone have an opinion on whether it affects the warranty? I spoke with my dealer and they couldn't answer this for me. I emailed Yamaha, direct, but haven't had a response, yet.
