When the 09 was released I thought, "That's the one for me", but having read a few tests on it, especially how everyone
Complained about the throttle, I was put off.

I eventually had a test ride on the 07. Which although felt small, was quick, nimble, and in my mind handled well.

A local dealer had one coming in so I went down to have another test ride before placing the order, however one of the staff members had taken the test bike home and it was unavailable.

I was offered a ride on the 09, and after that there was no going back!

Which leads me back to the heading of this post.

I will shortly be drawing my pension, and at 64 years old, was wondering how many older 09 riders there are

Hi Guys, I am 68yrs young been riding since 15 & hope to be for some time yet. Up until this yr I have been going to Europe every yr following the Moto Gp, last year it was Mugello but unlikely to happen any-more due to recent health Issues. Best regards to all remember (life's to short to grow up) Lou:rolleyes:

I'm just turned 60, been riding for 40 years during which time I have always had a bike, so quite literally been around the block a few times.
The MT09 is a bike that always puts a smile on my face and that's after about 80 bikes.

I'm 56+3/4 , and was getting too old for my Daytona 675 as the backs not as supple as it used to be , but i"m not missing it a bit as the MT gives so many smiles per mile.

im 46 and at the moment feeling young, just sold supermoto and fazer, as too many broken bones, thing is ive ordered a street rally with arrow system, crash mushys, front mudguard extender and hugger extender.
Due in end august, mmmmm street rally i now have the feeling ive been in the pub and the next morning ive woken up with a right ugly bird. maybe it will grow on me. wayne aged 46 with a 16 yr old brain.
