newbie,cant wait for delivery 02/01/2014 in deep armour

Hi all, getting the bike on 2nd Jan, looking forward to getting out on it,on my test ride it was ******** down, so not ridden in anger yet and all the write ups sound so good, got the dealer to to put the fly screen and tail tidy on, bought from JT's Swansea, got a good deal with my 08 plate FZ1 as part ex.

Did some touring this year round France and Andorra and hoping to tour on this, so will be looking for some sort of screen just for longer trips, if any one knows if they are out yet please post. regards Conrad

Hi Conrad, welcome.
I have seen a picture of an MRA screen. Pretty big, high, and it evenhas an extra spoiler.

Ermax have made a 33cm screen - looks can be discussed, but might also be able to cause buffeting, which is the thing no one wants to happen.
The fly screen looks amazing thoug - but wouldn't mind if it was a tad darker
 
Another Deep Armor, nice.
I'll be getting around to picking mine up from the dealer on the 4th.

They've had it in for ages but I wanted it after all the Christmas stuff was over and done with (and I'm actually not working having a day off for a change).

I've a heap of goodies to bolt on over the weekend :cool:
 
The weather forecast is rubbish. I'll be taking a bottle of FS365 and covering the bike before I ride it away, whilst my Mrs gets the warmth and comfort of the car. The good news is any accessories I buy/order will be discounted by 10% which makes them cheaper than YAMBITS with their postage costs.

Sat-nav, heated grips, scottoiler, hand guards, autocom, power socket, crash bungs, paddock stand lugs, short levers all ready to go on :p

No new wheels as no one took up the offer of a swap for a race blue set !

How are you planning to add the power?
Will you use the internal 2A supply already available?
Which heated grips have you got?

The reason for asking, is because I've got a pair of Dr. Bike heated grips as a Christmas present. They only draw 1.5A, but they feel very plasticky and consider to get some other ones, but then the internal can't be used other as sensor for power relay from battery.
But maybe you know of some better ones?
 
Oxford Adventure grips, it was a choice over the sports grips I just liked the grip pattern better, as for power I think I'll be using the 2amp supply to trigger a battery fed relay I have ready made up that I took off my last bike. No point overloading the wiring for the sake of a few quid ! I've also got a fused plug to wire in that feeds a heated jacket on the bike, and also doubles up as a feed point for a solar battery charger when it's not in use.
It comes in handy being a sparkie :)

Got it, Really nice bike, but the weather gods are not looking down on us,Nice colour, I think it needs short gold levers, the original ones look a bit naf (only my opinion) so I think I will be bolting a few goodies on myself, here's to some good weather.

Now, the first rides are lovely. Just remember, that there is no bad weather, just bad clothes ;)

Narh, let go then... I've ridden today. Love it. (and wet leathers on the way home, mmmmm) :P
 
I'm from South Wales, have you seen the rain in these parts!!!!!!! wet suit, goggles and snorkel would be more appropriate right now! LOL, I would settle for light drizzle at the moment just to get out and ride, only done 19 miles at mo. wet welsh roads and new tyres????????
