Just wondered how many people go to a main dealer for serving their bike for the stamp or do it theirselves

As a rule with any vehicle under Manf Warranty, I would always go to main dealer. After the warranty period, stuff it, go where you like, as long as you trust them..!!!

Always go to main dealer when under warranty, even though they charge a fortune for hardly doing anything.
I think on here people are quoting over £200 for 6000 miles service, which is just an oil change, lube the cables if necessary, and a visual inspection
When out of warranty I will change oil/brakes etc myself, and only to independent bike repair shop with things I cant do or dont fancy (valve clearance, head race replacement).
Theres a proper engineer near where I live, fettles race bikes and sorts suspension for track bikes. I trust him to do a proper job

Over £200 for the 6000mile service is daylight robbery lol.
It shudnt be no more than £150-£180 depending on the labour rate.
I did mine myself at the Yamaha dealership and just paid for the parts and consumables ;)
I got the service manager to stamp the book for me tho pmsl.....

With the results if that's ok with you mate?

Mind you it might be better if I get Simon to ring you he knows what he is taking about lol,and me and Coatsy with probably be popping wheelies and doing big skidz

Lol. Popping wheelies and doing big skidz is the MT's speciality ;)
