Lets have a thread, all in one place, where you tell us what you've changed and how you rate it !
 
Yesterday i pay a visit to my suspension specialist.
He checked the sag, front & rear, which he found enough.
I told him that i have settle the compression rebound fully adjust and he found that my rebound is slow, as have to be no bouncy..
About the front he suggest me not to put preload in springs but to pass the winter on same oil inside (which will become thicker as the temperature go down) and to change it next spring.
About the rear he suggests to start collecting money to upgrade it with an Ohlins or something else, with price 500-600 euros.
 
I have a Nitron fitted.

Also stiffer springs and thicker oil in the front.

Much more supportive than the OE crap yet still soaks up the bumps..
 
Got the streetbox by hyperpro fitted. Now the bike makes sense. Also fited a sportsmart 2 tyre on the front... all I can say is wow

I am thinking of getting the streetbox fitted. Did you make any adjustments on the rear once fitted or was the stock setting OK? This streetbox looks to be the best deal for day to day riding and cures the shortcomings on both front and rear without costing the earth. My riding is mainly "recreational" on rural backroads with plenty of bumps and mid-corner transitions so looking for something much more stable than OEM. Did you fit it yourself or was this a shop job?
 
I went for the Street Shock... it came set up for my weight, riding style and main type of roads i ride. not had to touch the compression or rebound settings but i did adjust the preload slightly to get 30mm of rear sag. Bike deals much better, lots of support, and holds a stable line at any speed, no more weaving on long sweepers or moving off line if you hit an undulation mid corner.

It was a shop job by hyper pro themselves. The only thing I did was add two clicks on the rear. In my opinion it is spot on for riding back roads. I tend to jump over speed bumps and it never bottoms out or launch me off once I landed again. Search hyperpro on this forum to see my full "report". Adding a sportsmart 2 front was the money maker though!

how much was the street shock?
Maxton give a really good service i have a gp10 on my er6 and have used them on my race bikes
 
Hi yeah it's a 08 zx10 i had to open up bottom mount 2mm and then it's straight in just have to trim a bit of under tray and away you go.
I think i might have to have it revalved and new spring but it's a vast improvement already just need to do a bit of dialing in first.
but i'm planning on doing a few track days and possibly racing it definitely gonna do a few sprint races and hill climbs:cool:
I have emailed maxton for a quote along with fork cartridge upgrade

The shock is a bit over damp. Open both bumps all the way CCW, Reb 1.25T in from full open (full open all the way CCW)

I'm 180 w/o gears, so about 195 suite up. The 9.1kg/mm (33mm rider sag) work great for me on track days. Normal riding I could use a 9.4kg/mm but I keep the 9.1 in. Tire wear is close to perfect with those settings. Should be a good start.
