Yes, that is bent, and is undoubtedly the cause of the gear selection problems described in your other thread.

Thats bent, crash damage? Looks to be bent backwards as been down the road

Yes came of I August just rebuilt it

If you're going to replace that £70 part you'll need to grind off that exposed section first - it ain't being pulled through otherwise and applying any force in an attempt to straighten it could end up fracturing the casing.
