Mine isn't a Tracer so it only has a side stand and as for "Yamaha mechanics" the one at J&S Doncaster can't even do an oil change, and when I phoned to say the oil warning light had come on due to shortage of oil they told me to ride it back to them, you can guess what I told them?

Fair enough, but the post is in the Tracer section, so the assumption is we're following the Tracer manual
No worries, either way it's way too tight as stated, I wont argue with anyone who wants it that tight though, it's their bike so they can do as they like, just good to share opinions.
