    Can't remove rear axle nut

Hi guys, I wanted to take of my rear wheel to balance it as I had a small crash and the wheel wasn't balanced anymore. I loosed up the nut and made around 3 turns. After which the nut got stuck. I thought that I need to use the bigger wrench so I got it. It went a little more but the align...

Clutch plate noise in N & clutch out

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else has noticed the clutch plate noise when the bikes in N and clutch fully out? The noise goes away while the clutch is in. I asked the dealer at it 1000k service and they said its normal in all the MT09's... Is this so?

    R&G Tail Tidy

Just fitted an R&G tail tidy, reasonably easy to install. The only problem i found was that the mounting holes on the main bracket did not align correctly with the mounting holes on the cover plate. I ended up having to enlarge the holes on the cover plate, i used a 7mm drill bit.

Aerodynamic "Flat Plate Area" up to 100 mph

Someone in aerodynamics told me the wind resistance should be fine up to 100 mph on the MT-07 because the bike will be in the "Flat Plate Area". That makes sense to me because when I had my 1977 Yamaha RD 400, I could take it up to 100 mph without a problem. If this is indeed true, I see no...

Opinions wanted on MT09 purchase option :)

Hi guys :) So I've decided on the MT09 - was considering the MT07 but I honestly think the 09 looks heaps better visually, and the extra power of the engine sounds lovely. I want one in race blue, but they had to introduce a new colour scheme didn't they!? Now I'm in a pickle! To make a long...

Shad SH42 top case mounted on the pillion

For those of you who want storage once in a while but without the hideous holders around the tail. Pretty simple, a SW-Motech seat rack with 4 holes drilled for the Shad base plate. Then just snap the whole thing on like you do a normal pillion seat. The rubber stoppers underneath are quite...

    The dark side beckons...

Today, I've fitted a tail tidy purchased from eBay and I was very impressed with the quality and clear instructions. In fact, the only thing I didn't like was the stick-on button reflector thrown in for legal reasons, so I got a bolt-on rectangular one and made a bracket that stuck on the back...

Official Yamaha numberplate holder rusting away!

Has anyone else having problems with aftermarket accessories? I had ridden my bike about four or five times this year and inevitably picked up some road salt on the bike. I washed it off on Sunday and the bike came up all shiny apart from the Yamaha number plate holder. Very disappointed...

    Any experience with laser jammer?

Since our government decided to quadruple the amount of photo-vans starting this year, it is time to get either a laser jammer or a number plate flipper. How reliable are these jammers? or should I just stick with the flipper, since there is plenty of time to react before you pass the van and...

Good bye tax disc...=small number plate crackdown?

So that bit of paper no longer spoils the nice lines of my bike and i'm guessing that's the same for the rest of you guys/girls too (well those in the UK away) but heres the thing...are you running a smaller sized number plate, smaller font than legal etc? I was thinking that now they are more...
