Hi MT-09 gurus! Can anyone help me? Just got my new MT-09 a little over a week ago and I came here looking for recommended suspension settings. I'm probably about 200 lbs with all my gear on and I ride mostly canyon roads--some very smooth sections and some really bad concrete sections where the gaps have me chattering away. I'd set fork preload to full and tightened up rebound and compression damping to nearly full. Any help will be most appreciated! Thanks, folks!

How to set suspension sag | MCN

Do this first.

Set your correct sag, set the suspension to back stock then make small adjustments at a time with a good ride or 2 in between changes. Kept a record of the changes you make so you can back track.

Suspension is a difficult question because there is no ideal setting for everyone.

This might give you some idea what sort of adjustments to make, bear in mind though that if i'm not mistaken the mt09 is the same as the tracer....rebound and preload adjustment only, no compression.
