ecu flash question

Just wondering if dealers need to remove the ecu to do the yamaha flash or is there a special plug in point to do it?

I have a feeling it is under the seat.

See page 8-38 of the service manual. I reckon that is the plug in question.

When my ECU was remapped at the dealer they didn't need to remove it from the bike, but they also didn't know where to find the plug to start with.

Hi, the plug is on the end of a long cable. It is under the seat. There's only one plug that fits it. It has four pins.

I would imagine it would be like any other engine management system and have a diagnostic plug to fit a scan tool to.
