Fitted the Evotech blanking plates today and I must say that she looks loads better. Just waiting for the single seat cowl from powerbronze to arrive and I'm all done in the passenger mod department lol

Well as I don't carry pillions (not until my boys get bigger anyway)! I decided to get rid of the pillion pegs and stick a single seat cowl on instead. Looks loads better like u said...

Seat cowl and rear hugger are at the dealers. Will pick them up tomorrow after work and fit them. Pics to follow

How are you finding the new rear hugger? Is it a far better fit than the original (sh*t) part?
It fits extremely well. I've had these huggers before on previous bikes and they always look good and perform as u wud expect them to. They r twice as robust (thick)! as the stock piece of shite that the bike comes with, no rattles or vibration sounds so yeah.....a good buy if that's wot ur looking for...

TT, how many lump hammers would i need to fit the hugger ?
I wud say just that mahoosive one in the corner of ur shed/workshop/pain factory wud do the job just rite ??

Ok here is an update on the powerbronze single seat cowl...
I went out for a blast on the bike on Saturday and when I got home I decided to give the chain a quick oil, while it was on the paddock stand I happened to notice something metallic sticking out from under the seat...
It turned out to be one of the metal fasteners that wraps around the underside of the seat and subsequently holds the seat cowl securely to said seat. I thought to myself..."not a good design, I hope that's the only one which comes off"!
Well they were my famous last words as today I gave the bike a good wash and ACF50. I took the seat off to clean underneath it and to my surprise I only had 2 clips holding the cowl securely (or not as the case may be)! to the seat...
Obviously I removed the offending item and as soon as I finish work tomorrow i'm taking it back for a full refund.
I guess the reason i'm telling you all this is so you think twice before you buy this cowl... on closer inspection it was doomed from the start when you see how badly it is made...
The Yamaha seat cowl bolts to the underside of the seat with an 8mm bolt on each side (where the standard seat strap bolts too). is that where yours is mounted? The yamaha one is very secure, but perhaps might lighter in weight?
No mate. Imagine putting the seat cowl over the seat, the cowl has/had 6 little metal strips that need to be bent/wrapped around the underside of the seat and pushed hard against the stapled bit of the seat cover...it is a really poo design so steer clear people.. I will be ordering the G-String cowl tomorrow lol
So they didn't design it to use the supplied mounting points?? Lol! Lazy Bastards.
