First naked bike...its cold!

The MT09 is my first naked bike and finding it really cold compared to previous bikes with fairings and screens. Do hand guards and screens help much?

Should have bought a Tracer in the first place! Can’t see much point in buying a Naked then covering it in ugly plastic. Buy a heated jacket and gloves, that would make a difference.

I did fit Givi hand guards to mine for the winter - made a noticeable difference. I also have the MRA 'touring' screen which keeps wind presure off my upper body, but does cause some turbulence around my head.

Handguards, heated grips, small windshield and a good jacket make a huge difference. Better in fact than my V Star Deluxe with the batwing fairing and talk windshield.
