MT-07 Exhaust Sound & Essential Mods


There is a company in Italy who are selling arrow full systems for £499 but that is it really the videos on youtube look good.

I think we all know what potential this bike has with nice exhausts system.
 
While I am keen to get a nice exhaust once all the options are on the table , I must admit the sound is growing on me now im opening him up , its not anywhere near as bad as my first impressions

still got a full time grin 6 weeks on :D
love the 2nd gear hover when opened up too :D
 
Aaaaarrrrrggghhh.........I find it slightly worrying that I smiled the whole way through that video.........Think my bank accounts going to get hit very soon!
 
Don't think I'm a competent enough rider yet to get any benefit from the Nitron shock....but it is very cool!

The new Arrow pipe sounds good: but he needs to fit a cat to get through the MOT in a couple of years time. Guess you could always swap it out for the original and back again after the test...
 
I'm not sure about stuff like uprated suspension on the MT-07, for me anyway.

Whilst I feel I could extract some of the benefit, having ridden for nearly 25 years, all sorts of bikes, sports included....I'm aiming to buy the MT for everyday riding, everyday to me meaning practically no balls-out riding. I test rode the 07 in stock form and found myself holding back from getting the peg/my knee down on easy, sweeping corners/ roundabouts. Yes, I found the rear squirming a bit under hard acceleration but I'd not want to sacrifice the comfy ride for occasional blips in riding style....it would just encourage it for me I think.

Still, the great thing about this bike, even with a modest 75 ponies, it can be many things...especially with some mods/tweaks.

I'm not sure but don't actually think not having a cat is an mot failure
Can anyone confirm this either way ?
 
I think you're right as emissions are not checked on bikes, at least they weren't last year so there is no way they could tell. As long as the can has a compliance stamp on it you'll be fine

The cat is not tested on a UK bike MOT but the EU
is getting involved "they have no real jobs so to
justify getting pay'd they make everyone's life a misery"
so anything could happen.
 
Sorry guys...I was making an assumption that bikes were the same as cars: so if one is fitted from new, it must have it at test: if old enough not to have one new, then not needed at test. Looks like we are OK for now.
