MT09 Paddock Stand Recommendations

Hi

I was toying with posting this in the general discussion forum but the error saying I don't have sufficient permissions to post there made my decision for me.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a paddock stand as the last one I owned was for a SS swing arm and is redundant. I have about £100 in my head as a reasonable figure to spend but I am of the philosophy if you buy shit you buy twice so would pay whatever within reason to get the best one I can for the bike.

I would love to hear what you all use and your experiences, recommendations and advice associated with each option. Pictures all the better!

I had a bit of a boner after seeing the bursig lift stand but need some true stories before I'll spend money on it!

I went for a Centre stand - it's quickly demountable if you don't want to carry the weight around - but the down side is it only fits this one bike and is a lot more expensive than a paddock or other universal/adapatable item.

Upside is you don't have to do a juggling act each time you want to use it.
 
Abba stands are great, however they dont currently make an adaptor kit (apparently another month or so)
Great bit of kit, allows both wheels to be lifted of ground.
I bought a cheap paddock stand of ebay for £20, and fitted cotton reel bobbins

Hi all.. I was searching myself a few weeks ago, came across these on eBay item: 301283667500 <Click Here>

Has anyone used these or have any comments.... Are the ok for 09 if fitted cotton real bobbins

ive got that pair, the main gripe is the metal hook rips all the anodising off my gold spools.
....as for the front? dangerous as fook........its too bloody tall and poorly thought out. i dont use it now after a close call with the street t falling off it......

That's why I bought black plastic bobbins instead of metal ones!! :)
 
I have had an ABBA for about 15 years now still works fine musta spent a good fortune on fitting kits lol! will prob get for MT-09. How easy are paddock stands to do by ones self? Im sure that bike tech alloy one is cheaper from M&P but its black so not sure same thing.
 
I bought the torpedo 7 rear on a sale, be careful some sharp edges on the hooks that scracth the swing arm (as I did).
Also the rubber on the hooks lasts about 5 mins and then the hooks chew though your bobbins.

rear paddock stand is dead easy on your own............
