New member welcome thread..

;)Hi all,
DAPS here in the sunny Isle of Man,
Just thought I would say hi and welcome.
Very much looking forward to a test ride on the MT09 and have already pretty much decided that I will be ordering one.
Get all your MT09's over for TT 2014 and we will rip up some tarmac:mad:.

Cheers DAPS:o

Hi, my name is Dzjiepie and I live in the South-West of the Netherlands.
My MT-09 is ordered, and the dealer sold my FJR in 3 days.
Now I have to have patience. I hope my dealer gives me a phonecall very soon.

Do I really need to introduce myself? Well, I'm Marthy. LOL I just put down a deposit on a lovely black n blue FZ09 today. The dealer didn't have any in stock... so I'm getting the first one! BANG!

The plan is to brake her in and do a base line dyno run. Then I'll get on the exhaust program! Not sure how long it will take to get a PCV ready for it but I'll make sure it ride safe without it at first... with dyno numbers of course!

Cheers!

Martin

Awesome Marthy!!! Good to see a close friend join up because he has ordered the new bike! I am sure that you will love it. I have even considered getting one, but I just don't know if I can give up my FZ1, especially with all the work that I have into it. I am sure that you will take good care of it, and you will do groundbreaking stuff with it, just like you did with the FZ6R.

Oh, and Welcome!!!

Evening from Manchester, UK.
I've been riding for 16 years, currently a Multistrada, but hopefully i can get that changed soon, if figures and availability will meet...
Had a test ride on the orange from Yamaha Wigan yesterday. I'm still surprised by it. And still want it :)

G'Day from sunny Australia cobbers!!!

I am located on the south coast of N.S.W and am very interested in the new MT09.

As yet there doesn't seem to be any pricing released here.

I currently ride a VTR1000 and the bike before that was a Shiver.

It was a great little bike that was comfortable but just didn't have enough go.

I'm hoping that the 09 will be the answer to my prayers and aching old bones.

If it is it will be bike number 43.

From what I have read this bike could be the answer if it is released at a sensible price.

$10,999 in Australia! I shall be using mine down in Tassie on roads like this:

99bends.webp

99bends2.webp

Can't wait. Bring on summer.

Hi, Steve from Norwich, UK
Took out a MT09 from Tinklers, Norwich on wednesday, bought one as soon as I returned from the test ride.
Picked it up Friday, matt grey one with a Yamaha screen.
Had a FZ6 previously, and prior to that a 2002 R1 (5pw) and a 2005 ZX636R.
Also run an old XR400

Greetings! I had already signed up for a different FZ-09 forum, so I figured its best to sign up for all.

Just picked up my new FZ-09 this past Sunday, so far have about 270 miles on the odometer. Its a fantastic substitute for my crotch rocket for those longer rides and sore backs.

I also have some interesting mod's in the pipeline, but I will share it on a separate thread.

Hi,
joined the forum as I am awaiting delivery f my MT09, due January 2014. Hopefully by then the Akrapovic system will be available (top of list for first mod). I would be interested to here of any owners experience this far, especially with the so called poor throttle response, the demonstrator I took out was liveable with even in 'a' mode.
Stay safe
Jim

Hey all! I'm from London. Got my MT-09 in blazing orange on November 1. One of the best purchases of my life.

It's only my second bike, first being Honda CBF125 (I know, I know...) so be gentle with me :)
