hello shaft69 , welcome , I had an XJR for 12 years , loved the fuck out of that bike but eventually the static weight started to grind ( turning round in me narrow garage ! ) . I think you'll like the MT , for me it has the same solid feel but without the extra kilos and although the 1300 has a nice spread of torque the MT pulls just as strong and with that nice triple wail !!!! I don't know if you take pillions but I take the bride out and she thinks the MT is as comfortable as the XJR so all in all I don't think you'll be disappointed , enjoy it mate .
