Oxford Bike Stand seems very high

Hi,

just got an Oxford bike stand. It was the cheapest I could find. I am surprised at how high it lifts the rear wheel. It is a two man job using it. Is this normal for these things?

I have that stand as well. U get used to lifting it urself after a while.

I modified a universal one I got from Aldi. Rear wheel is about 70mm off the deck.
If it feels stable enough, I wouldn't be too worried.

Mine's the same or at least very similar - Oxford stand but in silver and just as high as that one. It's a one man job - they're designed to be if you do it right.

I find it easier if I put a piece of wood under the side stand (so bike is almost upright) before I put it onto the stand.
