Parking lights

Quick question re MT09.
When parked, and steering lock key turned to park, I get no lights front or rear. Should there be? I can get the hazards to flash in park, with key removed, but no front or rear light. Is this a problem with my bike, or are they all like it?

According to manual, they should work.

just read my manual, apperantly there arent any parking lights! When in park mode, either hazards work, or indicators can be set left or right

Apologies!
I have re-read that part in the manual, and indeed it only states as stevecbr suggest, that the only hazards or indicator left/right will work with key in P-position.
