Power socket

Has anyone changed the power socket for a different make if possible i.e. KTM BMW etc, I am only bringing this up as it appears the PS on the Tracer seems more of a car type than a motorcycle one. I like to charge my sat nav from the socket rather than using the power plug behind the screen mount that as been mentioned on this forum

There is a hole for another power socket on the other side. It can be wired
to battery or the ignition spare leads behind the clocks.

Thx for the reply. I know a second power socket can be fitted but just wondered if anyone as fitted a different make of socket, one that takes the smaller plug

I through out the OEM power socket as they're generally useless when travelling. Plugs vibrate out. Wired in a 1&2 amp USB charger. That works well with the phone etc. Have a look for power sockets used for marine use. They have plugs with a screw collar and are waterproof.

I fitted one of those Ultimateaddons Waterproof Motorcycle Hardwire Charger

Run the cable from the battery to the handlebar - it comes with box places under the seat to power it on/off and is waterproof - also have their phone holder which is absolutely brilliant!
