For those of you who want storage once in a while but without the hideous holders around the tail. Pretty simple, a SW-Motech seat rack with 4 holes drilled for the Shad base plate.
Then just snap the whole thing on like you do a normal pillion seat. The rubber stoppers underneath are quite tough so you have to really push down to get the locking pin to engage which creates a tight fit.
Works really well to be honest and when you take it off the bike looks completely standard.
Also the shad 42 holds two helmets but is still not as wide as the handlebars in case you want to weave through traffic at red lights.
Just be careful when you decide on the placement of the Shad mounting plate so that you don't drill holes that will interfere with the SW-Motech mount.
