Snatchy throttle fix

Would like to see if anyone have a solution to this. The throttle which I feel is too light. It's really hard to control it esp inside the sharp band. Just abit of throttle, the bike still jerk. It's quite irritating at times. :S wish the throttle was tighter so it will be much easier to control.

Follow this thread from page one. Which I guess you have. I have fixed mine. Its a bit of a pain. It can be done I'm hoping for recalls.

Do Pipercross do a filter?I looked on their site and did not see the MT09 listed.

Pipercross do not do an air filter for the MT-09 "yet"! But I see the rep for the south quite a lot and he is gonna get on made for me so we can develope it a bit. Details to follow lol

The spacer I used. Was just a half circle to slot in under the bars. It is about 1mm wide. Once you crackthe housing to the throttle tube you will figure it out.

So had the bike on the dyno today and the optimum setting for the CO (with the Akro and baffle out) was 14. Runs so smoothly now so no more snatchy throttle in any of the modes

Thats the info I was looking for! After engine break in i'll be having the silencer out of my Akra so I won't be far wrong if I up the settings to 14 then?

14 is pretty much spot on. It's on the dyno again on Wednesday so will post the full results then

Ok. For you guys, I'm going to try a throttle tamer. As in, im going to convert the original throttle tube, The thing is I have to convert my throttle back to original as it's converted fine by me. I will get back to you guy's in a week or two and fill you in. It may be a cheaper option than a ecu flash.

Sporti your bike is next. This attached photo I stole from another site for the FJR. But its same same. couldn't be bothered taking mine apart again. Takes 10 minutes tops.

What do you mean by spot on - are you talking power or throttle snatchiness? Did you get it on the dyno with 14co?

My default was 0, ive just changed it to 14. On my huge 5 minute test ride it was noticeably different - was a LOT smoother in 1st/2nd and not as much scratchiness. Id be keen to know what this does power wise - im not sure that it feels less powerful on 14 or it may just be my imagination as its a lot smoother? I would have thought adding more fuel would have given it more grunt - especially when its lean to being with.

Leaner can sometimes mean more power, with the sacrifice of engine life though I imagine.

By spot on I mean it's now perfect.. No snatchy throttle. It only sorts the TPS from closed to 2% so won't make it run any more lean. I suggest running it on a Dyno as that ironed out all the flat spots and made a perfect power curve...

What's the contact details of the dyno guy you used? Done 800 miles now and still find myself having to concentrate quite hard on throttle control in A mode at slower speeds, which is starting to distract me from other more important things like cornering properly!
