Spent a bit of time Saturday while it was raining outside cutting out the useless plastic ridge to open up the underseat storage for the disc lock & making a rear mud flap to help protect the rear shock from some of the road crud.
All i did to actually hold mine in place was to loosen the two bolts holding the plastic undertray to the cross member between the footrests & push the right angled alluminium between the two & re tighten the bolts.
I did a very similar fix to my old Tiger 1050 & it worked like a charm.
