Tank Bag

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has the clip on tank bag, either the Yamaha ones or Givi? I would like to know peoples thoughts on them.

Never been keen on tank bags but might try one of these.

I've had the system from SW-Motech (Baggs connection) on my MT-01 and it worked very well.
So I will use my old tank bag again and together with the optional sidebaggs I can carry enough luggage for a few trips next summer

Well, the good thing about the snap-on tank bags should be, that they don't scratch your tank.
But I don't know if they actually manage to do it. I do find it a bit cheeky from Yamaha, that you have to buy the mandatory brackets as extras, for all their bags.

I too was wondering about scratching the tank, know with magnetic ones you have to be so careful. I was wondering how tight/solid the bag mounts and if it would rub on the tank.

It doesn't touch the tank. It hangs aprox 1 to 2 cm above it. This was the fact with my MT-01. I think the position of your tank opening is important. I don't know yet how this is with the MT-09. I' ll see in summer (if the side baggs aren't enough to carry my luggage in).
