UK MOT's to be extended by 6 months due to Covid-19

Just in case (like me) you have your MT due for it's MOT soon, the government will be extending all MOT's due after March 30th by 6 months to allow people to keep moving until garages etc open up again.

yes I've two bikes due for testing in may.

Not sure how that will affect you if you need to do your road tax for your bike online, It automatically checks that you have a current MOT and valid insurance.
I've not seen anything explaining that situation.

You'll still have a current MOT, as above they're extending them by 6 months.

The system is all electronic now so it'll still 'see' the new extended expiry date.

well I've SORN two of bikes today as they were on DD payment and I don't think I'll be riding them for at least a month, still got one taxed and a car that's only £20 a year.
