Do we rename the two ECU threads for ease of reading?

Can anyone give a good reason why allot of Yamaha dealers dont seem to know about this ECU flash or say they dont, my local dealer said they hadnt heard of this an also i know someone whos been into Streetbike Birmingham, a big dealer an they say they dont know about it either, you cant be tellin me that Yamaha uk have,nt informed all dealers about this ECU update , i find that very hard to believe

If they are a genuine Yamaha dealership they will definitely have had an email with all the details. It goes back to what I was saying about dealerships not having to do the update and that they have to get the machine from Yamaha UK to be able to do it...!

Even Robinsons of Rochdale have had the memo, I have been shown it (But they haven't got the Flash...probably never will) Had to travel to the Flylde coast to have mine done....well worth the trip!

I might have just lost track here, but has anyone had the flash done in UK and what is it like to ride now ?
Sorry for being stupid but it just comes so naturally !

Ok so...
Here's the latest update...

Simon is going to take his new MT and stick it on the dyno and see wot it's doing then he's going to load the PCV map he copied off my bike today and stick that on his ecu, dyno it again and do all the trick bits he wants to it and then when it's all exactly how he wants it he will flash my ecu the same and that means that we can get rid of the powder commander and run the map directly off the ecu...

*point to note... this flash is completely reversible and can be put back to the stock ecu settings at anytime.

Simon is also gonna dyno Mr Coats' MT and a couple of other guys (Fizzy that's u lol)! as well who's ecu's he has already flashed just to make sure all is well with them.

I will update again asap.

So your taking a pcv map that was tailored to your bike and turning it into a generic ecu flash? Is that wise, as it is something that was specific to your bike? Not criticising at all just trying to understand how this flash is being constructed.

Sorry... forgot to mention that we have (and are the only people in the uk to have) the same two brothers exhaust. The PCV map mite be specific to my bike and that's y Simon is going to "tweak" it on the dyno before he settles on the flashed version...
Have no fear.... he knows what he's doing lol . If Dave coats trusts him with his MT stunt bike then I have no problems letting him lose on mine...

Ahh OK cool, makes more sense. Sounds like he knows what he's doing then.

*****ECU "news" flash*****

Awesome. I'm so excited lol [emoji12]

Here Yama said that they can do new map if customer feels that his bike is too aggressive and Ofc it is one way ticket.
On the other hand dealer said they will be testing some pro Italian ecu map. They said the map for R6 was awesome and that stock throttle inR6 was only 70%. As soon as they test new map on mt they will send me dyno charts.
Generally dealer do not recommend new official Yama map for experienced riders or people happy with their bikes.

Hence y I wanted to keep the two threads separate and we had "flash gate" [emoji12]
Although I've been following flashgate, and know which thread is what, wouldn't it be simpler if the threads were renamed?

Perhaps "Yamaha ECU flash" and "Simon's - Aftermarket ECU flash"...
