Average Mpg Craziness

So why is it that I average 60mpg (give or take) yet the Average Fuel Consumption readout on the dash only shows 22?

What's that all about then?

Mine tends to be about 7/8 mpg low but for some strange reason it was spot on for one fill,
yours seem way out, I reset mine after every fill.

Never thought of this, I fill up when it's empty.
I notice it says my average is 4-4.2l/100km, that is 70-65mpg, but I never thought of checking it.

My average is between 3.8-4.2 L/100km.
Display is more-less accurate.

Mine is about 5.0L/100km (56MPG) on normal fuel. ->convert here<-

Display is also more-less accurate.



Do use normal fuel the more octane one?

I have got between 49 and 72mpg (tracked using "Fuelly" app not onboard computer). Dash has never looked significantly off but I will try resetting at fuelups to see if it correlates with Fuelly.
