flashing red dash light

Hi all, probably a stupid question, but does everyone's dash start flashing a red light(key logo) about 30secs to a minute after ignition turned off? Flashes about once every 2 seconds? Never noticed it before, is it just a warning that the bike has an immobiliser or have I got a fault? Its a UK bike by the way. Thanks to all that reply!

It tells you the immobiliser is active and if you don't turn the bike on it will go off the light
that is in 24 hours but the immobiliser is still on.

Yeah it's normal. P3-5 in the owners manual explains it, as has Ralph above.
