my bike sticker, looks great in the sun.

I'm too scared to take mine off because if it leaves any glue residue I dunno how I'll get it off the matte paint as can't use polish.

If you are careful enough when peeling it off there shouldnt be any residue left on the tank. wd40 / warm soapy water /wet wipe, anything like that will do the job.

Yeah I'll get the wifes hair drier on it and see what happens.

Or, just some hot water from the kettle.
Then you can rub it off with your fingers 10 seconds later without any other use of tools or the like

If glue sticks to the tank after removing it, just put a little peanut butter on it and leave it for a good 15 minutes, you wipe it off easily then without damaging the most delicate of paints. Strange but it works!

i got some stories about peanut butter AND sticky residue but it would be off topic............:(

Don't worry, I'm from Amsterdam! It was one of these red light district shows that gave me the peanut butter idea in the first place anyway.
